How to look after your scented soy candle

We recommend the following care to ensure the long life of your Cara Bourn scented soy candle:

When burning your soy candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt until it reaches the edges of the vessel, before extinguishing. This will create a candle memory and create a clean and even burn.

To ensure an even and max burn time, always trim your wick to 5mm before lighting.

​

To preserve your fragrance, do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. 

​

Discontinue use, when the wax reaches 1-1.5cm from the bottom of your vessel.

​

To ensure your soy candle burns evenly, after use, when the wax has cooled and re set, trim your wick to 5mm before relighting, to avoid 'mushrooming' of the wick.

Always remember to:

Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep away from children, pets and curtains.

Burn your candle on a heat resistant surface

Never move your candle while lit

Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight

When you have finished burning your scented soy candle, simply wash out any leftover soy wax with hot soapy water and use for whatever you wish - maybe a vase, plant pot, storage container or even a cocktail glass!
